这位帅哥还说明难请人3因素:难堪、辛苦、前途无‘亮’。

Based on info (a few years ago while I was still in Singapore) from someone who used to work for that chain, 是帅哥老板放大炮。To get $3K/month, one has to be managing several chains for this boss, work like 12-16hours/day (only 1 rest day/week and still kenna harassed by work-related calls on your rest day), handling ALL aspects of the business on top of being the chef.

    On top of that, once one handles purchasing, one will know why the standard of that sushi chain seems to have dropped drastically since it's heydays (early 2000's). In the end, it depends on your personal philosophy if you want to be a chef of a chain that serves sub-standard food or if you want to aim higher.

    I trust that someone's info 'cos I have seen his employment papers, training-related contracts and other work/income-related papers etc. I have also observed his work hours and off-day activities over some years. You see, that someone is a FT with limited English, and he trusted me enough to show me his papers to explain the T&C's to him. :)

    IMHO with regards to his work conditions, word "exploitation" comes to mind!

  3. Many years ago, its chopsticks were of Japanese standard with good quality, few years back they were downgraded to cheap coffee shop standard but its price was not cheap.
    Last time if can remember correctly, its hot green tea was free, now need to pay for it.

    1. oh of cos, if cleaners are getting paid $3k (according to the boss) then the waiters/waitresses/managers must be earning 5 digits at least.

      And since they don't want customers to absorb their overheads, they have no choice but to lower the quality of their own products.
